Structural evaluation and reinforcement design

The complexity of the structures, combining high-performance materials and different construction types, growing lights, forced to perform complex structural models that allow a proper assessment of the safety and structural functionality. 

On the other hand, often in the pathology studies and technical studies are required analysis models to assess the levels of security available in a structure, or to evaluate the possible causes of a disaster, both for global stability as tension level analysis of a section. In addition, for structures with insufficient structural safety is often raised the need to propose a reinforcement intervention in the structure (through active or passive solutions), or underpinning of foundations. 

Our department has extensive experience in structural assessment, being focused in the following fields: 

• Overview of stability and security of existing structures (including factories), verifying stress, strain displacement, reactions or modes of vibration. 
• Assistance to the structural design of building and civil works, with solutions in situ and precast concrete, prestressed concrete, structural steel, concrete composite structures, steel and wood. 
• Design and reinforcement project, assets and liabilities, metal solutions (mullions, loop, functional replacements, etc.), and concrete solutions and / or prestressed (jacketed,cast, external prestressing, etc.).
