The terrain has often marked variability, both temporally and spatially, which implies a difference between the traditional methods of calculation and geotechnics.Moreover, in many cases the lack of information or inability to perform specific tests leads to uncertainty as to the project economically unfeasible.This is the case of slope engineering studies, geological engineering, special foundations, stability of offshore structures, etc ...
The work developed by our department includes the following steps, so before and after, we need to have all the information needed for proper performance of the proposed work.
- Ahead planning to conduct tests ( on site, of laboratory, specifics);
- Monitoring at the machine of the field work, with possible variations in planning according to the type of subsoil;
- Detailed analysis of terrain and obtain geotechnical parameters;
- Geotechnical Modelling by finite element techniques or by theoretical formulations of proven validity;
- Auscultation, if necessary, of post-construction movements through specific instrumentation teams that catch automated data.
