Soil mechanics (GTL)

For the optimal design of any structure is indispensable to know the behavior of the ground that will be in contact with the foundation. Many of these parameters are obtained from tests in the laboratory under controlled temperature and humidity.

Our technical department of "Soil Mechanics" has between other means 18 oedometer, 2 triaxials and a number of characterization equipments of soils and rocks. All this together, with an extensive experience allow us to serve high-volume works.Following the same policy as in other areas,the department has GTL accreditation, which is synonymous of guaranteed to our clients and accuracy of our work. 

Also, due to our presence in international projects, our customers demand a high degree of expertise and experience in regulation (NF P, ASTM, UNE, etc).

To meet this demand, the lab has made great efforts, adopting procedures and languages to the applicable requirements for each work. 

Some of our activities: 

  • Determination of the consolidation parameters of oedometer soil. 
  • Study of the evolution of the strains of a soil by triaxial. 
  • Permeability of soils and rocks. Soil characterization. 
  • Thin plate analysis. 
  • Rocks Mechanics. 
  • Chemical tests. 
  • Direct Cut. 
  • Oedometer.
